When her parents divorced, her mother moved the family into a public housing project in the Bronx where Lisa lived until the age of 10. Lisa Williamson was born in New York City in 1964. A New York Times best-selling author, Williamson now reaches the younger generation through her novels written in the popular style known as street-lit.
